What to expect

This is Taiwan’s Gaomei Wetland—a dream theater created by nature.

At the end of the 300-meter wooden plank road, you step barefoot into the mirror-like mudflats, where fiddler crabs write lines of poetry at your feet and mudskippers leap into dancing notes.

The white windmills in the distance rotate with the wind, crushing the sunset into gold foil, which is sprinkled in the waves and flows into a river. When the tide recedes into a thin line, the sky and the earth embrace each other in the reflection. You only need to press the shutter to put the whole burning sunset and the silhouette of the windmill into your pocket.

This is a gentle station for migratory birds, a romantic filter for couple to entwine their fingertips, and a healing place for urban souls to relax. When the last ray of light sinks into the sea level, don't forget to say goodnight to the wetland - because tomorrow, it will rewrite a poem of the sky for you with a new tide.
