What to expect
This is the first paper building in Taiwan, China, and the first building brought from overseas. In 1995, architect Ban Shigeru built a light-weight paper church to commemorate the great earthquake in Japan. Ten years later, this paper church was transported to the Puli Taomi Community, which was hit by the 9·21 earthquake. Now, in addition to the paper church, there are wetland parks, paddling pools, etc. in the park. You can spend the night in a homestay run by the villagers, or you can taste local delicacies in the restaurant, and the scenery will be even better at night!
