What to expect

The Marine Biology Museum, located in Houwan, is one of Taiwan's most comprehensive aquariums with a rich variety of fish species. It is divided into the Taiwan Waters Pavilion, Coral Kingdom Pavilion, and World Waters Pavilion, featuring attractions like a three-story-high aquarium tank, an underwater tunnel, adorable penguins, graceful beluga whales, and sharks—all creating an immersive undersea experience that's absolutely worth a visit! Perfect for families and groups, even adults will find endless enjoyment here.

[Overnight at the Aquarium] As the sun slowly sets, head to Pingtung for an overnight stay at the aquarium! Experience a different kind of fun from the daytime and uncover the secrets of the ocean at night. Sleep next to the fish tanks as if you're living under the sea, exploring three exhibition halls—Taiwan Waters, Coral Kingdom, and World Waters—to learn about the nocturnal lives of marine creatures. Gaze up at the reflections of coral and look forward to waking up to schools of fish and soothing views. You might even spot a sleepy beluga whale gliding gracefully nearby or penguins from the Southern Hemisphere and puffins from the Northern Hemisphere sharing a cozy slumber across the equator.

"Fish Encounter Experience" Under the guidance of our interpreters, get up close and personal with marine life! This unique experience takes you behind the scenes into the keepers' mysterious world, where you'll learn how they carefully nurture and rehabilitate marine creatures. Visit the backstage area of Taiwan Waters Pavilion and become a junior keeper, participating in the growth journey of these amazing marine animals!

"0.1mm from Penguins" offers an extraordinary experience from February to June each year, where visitors can observe polar stars - penguins - in their habitat. Professional guides will share insights about penguin ecology, behaviors, and species while revealing backstage secrets. This immersive encounter creates unforgettable memories while delivering valuable educational content about these fascinating creatures.

Seasonal Itinerary - Crab Encounter: Located in the Gangkou Community next to the Jialeshui Scenic Area on the Hengchun Peninsula, this place is not only famous for its Gangkou tea but also captivating for its land crab ecosystem. The Gangkou Community boasts the highest diversity of land crab species in the world, and the best time to observe them is from July to October each year.

From December 1 to the end of February, guests staying overnight in the underwater tunnel, beluga whale area, or deck area can experience the seasonal "Treading Water and Field Tour" package.

Things to note

• Please wear long pants (or shorts) that can be easily rolled up, along with sandals or flip-flops for convenient changing into anti-slip shoes.
• Those with physical conditions that may prevent them from overcoming the challenges are not recommended to participate.
• Changes requested within 3 days of the activity will not be accepted
• Age verification: The calculation is based on whether the child reaches the specified age from their birth date to the activity date

• Provide non-slip shoes (rubber shoes).
