About this experience

Imagine nature’s largest classroom and discovery hub, where butterflies and insects are free to come out and play. Within Entopia lies two worlds; The Natureland living outdoor gardens and The Cocoon indoor discovery centre. Over 150 species of fauna and more than 200 species of flora are being showcased throughout Entopia’s entire exhibition. Entopia is a nature discovery and exploration center located in Teluk Bahang, Penang, Malaysia. The center is dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the natural world, particularly the insects and other invertebrates that play important roles in maintaining ecological balance. Entopia is housed in a large greenhouse-like structure that spans more than 100,000 square feet. Within the center, visitors can explore a variety of exhibits and displays, including live insect displays, interactive educational exhibits, and immersive habitats that simulate different ecosystems and natural environments. One of the center's main attractions is its butterfly sanctuary, which is home to over 15,000 free-flying butterflies from more than 200 species. Visitors can stroll through the sanctuary and observe the butterflies as they flit among the flowers and foliage, or even participate in guided tours and hands-on activities. In addition to its butterfly sanctuary, Entopia also features a variety of other exhibits and attractions, including a bug exploration zone, a learning lab, a Thai water garden, and more. The center is open year-round and is a popular destination for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone interested in learning more about the amazing diversity and beauty of the natural world.

This one-of-a-kind experience will guarantee to be the highlight of your day! - Bug Exploration: Explore with us as we discover the interesting lives of our amazing animal friends and catch glimpses of our Bug Exploration superstars. - Special Appearance: You might grab a chance to meet our superstars! Come and capture your magical moments with them. - Butterfly Race: Discover mother nature by challenging yourself to complete the race. You’ll be seeking out the different butterflies here in the garden and also stand a chance to win yourself a limited edition gift!

• Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.
• Butterflies are not visible or active at night, as they rest after sunset. Entopia By Night focuses on biofluorescence and nocturnal discoveries.
• Entopia By Night is exclusively an outdoor garden experience. Indoor Discovery Centre (Cocoon) and Entopia Store will remain closed from 6:00pm onwards.
• Visitors are advised to check the weather forecast before purchasing tickets and bring umbrellas to enjoy the garden walk comfortably in case of rain.
