About this experience
Go on a journey to the roots of Slovak whiskey and the history of medieval Slovakia on this tour from Poprad to the town of Stara Lubovna! You'll visit two of the town's most popular attractions, including the Lubovna Castle, which arranged many important royal meetings throughout the years. This imposing fortress was built around the 13th and 14th centuries, and towers over the whole region. With the guide, tour around the castle, from the maze of courtyards to the enormous staircases. You'll also explore Nestville Park Distillery. Here, you can taste the first Slovak whiskey and learn about historical distiller skills and warehouses for maturing whiskey. Stroll along the streets and admire the two-story townhouses, some of which are decorated with wall paintings.
