What to expect
Begin with a pickup from your hotel or meet at a central location in Krakow and head to Zakopane. Travel with a professional English-speaking driver and tour leader to Zakopane.
On the way to Zakopane, visit a traditional “Bacówka,” where highlanders craft the unique smoked sheep’s cheese, “oscypek.” Taste various types of this regional delicacy and enjoy a sampling of traditional Polish vodka, all while learning about the cheese-making process.
Once in Zakopane, admire the multi-storey arrangement of the Tatra vegetation with the peaks of high mountains in Poland. At the top, enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Tatra Mountains, an uninterrupted view of Zakopane, and the possibility of relaxing in the sunshine. Then take the cable car from the top of Gubałówka.
Visit Krupówki, the heart of Zakopane. Stroll along this popular walking street, lined with shops and regional restaurants. Find traditional highlander items to buy, such as clothes and souvenirs. Enjoy free time to explore Zakopane on your own.
After exploring Zakopane, head to the thermal pools, where you can relax and feel the health properties of thermal water. Finally, relax on the ride back to Krakow, where the tour concludes with drop-off back at your original departure point.
