What to expect

Founded in 1912, the Ontario Museum is the fifth largest museum in North America. It houses more than 6 million precious cultural relics from all continents of the world, including dinosaur bones, Buddha statues, Chinese porcelain, Egyptian mummies, etc. It is an unmissable visit to Toronto. place. The Ontario Museum itself is a very classical building with exquisite carvings on the outer walls. The new museum was completed in 2007 and designed by German designers. The combination of classical and modern architectural styles makes the museum a landmark in Toronto. Floor distribution: The museum is divided into four floors, with a collection of Chinese art and antiques on the first floor, including ancient art, Buddhist art, architectural art and sculpture. The two small halls on both sides of the China exhibition area are the Korea and Japan exhibition areas. On the first floor, there is also the Canada exhibition area and the dinosaur exhibition area. You can see the utensils used in the production of maple syrup in the Canadian exhibition area. The second floor is mainly an animal exhibition area. In addition to the dinosaur exhibition area extended on the first floor, there are also specimens of birds and mammals. The third floor is the exhibition area of ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, Africa, Europe and South America. You can see artifacts from the Mayan civilization, Italian warrior clothes, European glass, Egyptian pots and mummies, and Bolivian crystals. On the basement level there are restaurants, cafes and a small theatre, as well as a reception centre for children to learn.
