What to expect

The medieval Galata Tower gives a fairytale feel to the hilly Beyoelu district on the northern side of the Golden Horn. The 67-meter-high stone tower, topped with a conical tiled bell tower and a golden crown, was built by the Genoese in 1348. Explore the open-air observation deck for a spectacular panorama stretching all the way to Sultanahmet, have dinner or a snack at the restaurant at the top of the tower, or watch a Turkish belly-dancing show inside the nightclub.
