What to expect
Embark on a journey through the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands on this full-day tour. Starting from Invergordon, travel south through the historic market town of Dingwall before arriving at the charming Highland village of Beauly. Here, you’ll have time to explore unique retail outlets and the ancient ruins of Beauly Priory, a site steeped in history and tranquility.
Continue along a scenic rural route to the western shore of the world-famous Loch Ness. The tour then takes you north alongside the loch, crossing the Caledonian Canal and arriving in Inverness, the small capital city of the Highlands. After reboarding the coach, head east out of Inverness and across the wild expanse of Culloden Moor, passing the site of the historic Battle of Culloden. Arrive at Cawdor Castle, a fortified house romantically linked to Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Spend 75 minutes exploring the castle’s rich history and marveling at its preserved architecture, which remains home to the Cawdor family.
