The Glitz and the Grit Begin your journey at the Ritz Hotel, Churchill’s favorite wartime haunt. Far from just a luxury hotel, this was a fortress of secret meetings and strategic dinners for the world’s most powerful figures. From there, we descend into the history of the Green Park Underground, revealing the harrowing reality of Londoners seeking refuge from the Blitz in deep-level shelters.
Royal Resolve and Political Power Stand before Buckingham Palace to hear how the King and Queen’s defiance turned a bombed palace into a symbol of national hope. As we approach Whitehall and the Cenotaph, your guide will share moving stories of the soldiers and civilians whose sacrifices defined a generation.
The Nerve Center of the War The tour concludes at the doors of the Churchill War Rooms. After seeing where history was made at 10 Downing Street, you will head underground into the original Cabinet War Rooms.
