What to expect
Step into the rolling fields of Nether Glenny for a personal, small-group experience with our iconic Highland cows and their calves. Learn their names,their personalities, and capture a memorable photo alongside these magnificent animals; a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to connect with Highland Cows.
Afterwards we will head over to the sheep field where we will meet and feed our friendly Shetland Sheep and learn why we farm these little beauties. Be prepared for a very close encounter with the girls.
This is an intimate experience: your visit is hosted entirely by Matt and Alison the owners and custodians of Nether Glenny. You won’t just see the farm, you’ll become part of its story. Matt’s infectious passion for farming, wildlife, and the land will guide every moment, from anecdotes about the farm’s history to insights into our vision as stewards of the land.
Discover how regenerative farming practices, agroforestry, and innovative rewilding projects are helping nature flourish once again. Walk through areas where woodland is being restored, and native wildlife is thriving, learning how these efforts protect and enhance the landscape for generations to come.

By train
Stirling Train Station is well connected, with regular services from both Glasgow and Edinburgh.
By bus from Stirling
From Stirling, take the X10 bus service and get off at Port of Menteith (Portend Farm stop). From there, you can walk up the hill to Nether Glenny Farm, or we can arrange to collect you from the bottom of the hill if you let us know in advance Bus timetable
By taxi from Stirling
You can also book a taxi directly from Stirling Train Station. We recommend Trossachs Cabs on 07956 914988 Pete will bring you straight to Nether Glenny Farm ( book well in advance )
