Meet your guide at the former Katowice Coal Mine and set off to explore the city. On the premises of the former mine, today called the “Culture Zone”, the building of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the International Congress Centre and the Silesian Museum were erected.
Continue your walk passing the city's showpiece, the "Spodek", to the Silesian Insurgents Monument. Then, along Wojciech Korfantego Avenue, reach the main square of the city. See the September Scouts Monument and tenement houses from the 19th century.
Admire the old train station and the oldest preserved Catholic church in the city center, St. Mary's Church. Go further south to the historical building of the Silesian Parliament.
Marvel at the buildings of the Katowice Moderna Trail on your way to one of the largest cathedrals in Poland - the majestic Christ the King Cathedral.
