What to expect
Explore the medieval site with a guide in your chosen language and see the beautiful galleries, ramps, lakes, chambers, and shafts carved in salt.
One of Poland's national Historic Monuments – and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site – the salt mines feature works of art, including statues and chapels carved out of the rock salt.
Follow a specially-prepared tourist route, where you will walk down 800 steps to reach a depth of 135 meters, and experience the cooler temperature as you travel around 2 kilometres through different underground chambers.

• The temperature underground ranges between 14° and 16° C, so it's recommended to take warmer clothes even in summer
• There are 800 steps to climb, with 350 at the beginning that take you down into the mine
