An ancient symbol of the Czech lands, the expansive Prague Castle is one of the most important cultural institutions in the Czech Republic.The history of Prague Castle stretches back to the 9th century. Over the years it has been home to Kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman Emperors, and presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic.
Start your visit by meeting a representative in front of St. Vitus Cathedral. They’ll provide a brief introduction (in English) and give you the necessary information about your ticket and about the orientation inside the Castle complex. You will also receive a map of the whole complex.
Our optional online guide will point out for you the most important and the most interesting parts inside of each interior. Just follow the recommended route on the map, which was carefully planned by our experienced tour guides. You will be guided with a very simple system that will use very little data of your internet mobile connection (up to 100Mgb). Online GUIDE will guide you through all interiors and will point out for you the most interesting places, vitrines, pictures, sculptures, personalities, and much more in written form with the possibility of robot reading according to your mobile type.

Prague Castle is the Presidential office, so some buildings may be closed for operational or ceremonial reasons, and opening hours may change accordingly.
IMPORTANT: During September and October (particularly around Czech Independence Day), some buildings within the Prague Castle complex can be closed for an annual Crown Jewel Exhibition and award ceremony. If you choose to book during this period, you will be informed of any closures via email.
Refunds will not be issued during such partial closures or due to change of opening hours.
