What to expect
Enjoy a premium full-day journey through the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, and Port Douglas, with free pick-up from Cairns, the Northern Beaches, or Port Douglas.
Depending on your departure point, begin with a scenic drive along the Great Barrier Reef Drive or a short stop in Port Douglas, including views over 4 Mile Beach from Flagstaff Hill. Continue along the coast with a stop at Rex Lookout for sweeping views over the Coral Sea.
Arrive at Mossman Gorge for a relaxing morning tea with scones, jam, cream, and tea or coffee. Then join your guide for a walk through ancient rainforest and enjoy the chance to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Mossman River.
Continue with a restaurant lunch offering a choice of local dishes including Barramundi, Chicken, Steak, Kangaroo, and vegetarian options.
After lunch, take a one-hour Daintree River cruise to spot crocodiles and native wildlife in their natural habitat.
Cross the Daintree River by cable ferry and enter the ancient rainforest. Stop at Alexandra Lookout for panoramic views over the river, delta, and Coral Sea, followed by a guided botanical walk beneath the rainforest canopy.
Arrive at Cape Tribulation, where rainforest meets reef, and take in the views from Kulki Lookout.
On the return journey, stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company to purchase tropical ice cream (own expense) before returning to your drop-off location in the late afternoon.

This tour operates daily with free pick-ups from Cairns (from 7am), Palm Cove (from 7:50am) & Port Douglas (from 8:35am).
The 'starting time' is NOT the same as the pickup time. Please refer to the email message you will receive after booking from Discovery Tours Australia for your correct pickup time & details.
Please note, this is approximately a 12-hour day. The bus journey is a major component of this tour and is approximately 3 hours one-way from Cairns to Cape Tribulation, with stops on the way.
You’ll travel with a small group of 16 guests maximum in a comfortable air-conditioned, late model Mercedes Sprinter.
This tour is unsuitable for infants (0-3 years).
