Duration: 8 Hours
A Day of Wine, Flavour & Local Treasures
Ready for a day that delights all your senses? Escape the city and uncover the magic of South Australia’s most iconic wine region on this unforgettable full-day Barossa Valley adventure. With world-class wines, charming towns, sweet treats, and gourmet stops – this is more than a tour, it’s a journey into the heart of wine country.
Your day begins with a relaxing scenic drive from Adelaide, winding through rolling hills and sunlit vineyards. First stop: the breathtaking Chateau Yaldara, a grand stone estate with a rich winemaking history dating back to 1847. Sip your first wine of the day while soaking up the heritage charm and riverside serenity – a picture-perfect start.
Next, we head into the storybook town of Tanunda. Here, you’ll enjoy a sweet bite from the beloved Browns Barossa Donuts and a short coffee stop at Darling's Café, before a leisurely stroll through Murray Street’s boutique shops and historic charm.
The wine tasting continues at either Hemera Estate or Langmeil Winery, depending on availability. Both offer distinct Barossa experiences – from Hemera’s bold boutique reds to Langmeil’s legendary old vine shiraz, some of the oldest in the world.
Lunchtime brings us to Kies Family Wines, a rustic cellar door known for its welcoming atmosphere. You’ll enjoy a guided tasting of up to seven wines, followed by a gourmet lunch at their cozy onsite café – all surrounded by vineyard views and good company.
As the afternoon rolls on, we cruise past the legendary Jacob’s Creek vineyard. Your guide will share the story behind this world-famous wine label as you travel deeper into the valley.
Then it’s time to indulge your sweet side. Explore the handcrafted flavours at the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, then head to the iconic Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, where shelves overflow with jams, sauces, and artisan products loved by foodies across Australia.
To finish on a high note, we visit either Chateau Dorrien or Ubertas Wines for one final tasting. Whether it’s the quirky charm of Dorrien’s meads and reds or the refined elegance and scenic views at Ubertas, it’s the perfect finale to your day in wine country.
As we journey back to Adelaide, the vines stretch out behind you, and the Barossa lingers in your memory – full of flavour, warmth, and a little magic.
