What to expect
Begin your experience by exploring the museum, where you’ll learn about the history of Bundaberg Rum. Then, join an expert distillery guide on a one-hour journey deep into the heart of the working Bundaberg Rum Distillery.
Start by visiting the molasses well, which holds up to 5 million liters of molasses, fresh from the sugar mill across the road. Then, get a sneak peek into one of the fermentation tanks, before learning all about the double distillation process.
Finally, head to the grand Barrel House, where you’ll learn about how the rum is aged and matured for a minimum of two years before it makes its way into a bottle.
Once you’ve experienced the sights and smells of the distillery, return to the Bundaberg Rum Tasting Bar, where you can sample any of the top-shelf rums from the range. Cheers to that! (One rum and one liqueur).
An alternative self guided walk through of our museum showcasing the history of Bundaberg Rum and the rum making process can be purchased on arrival for $20.00 per Adult and does not need to be pre-booked. This also includes two free rum or liqueur tastings. (One of each) This experience does not access the actual distillery.
All guests are also welcome in our Bear Garden Alfresco Dining area where you can purchase one of our signature "Bundy Banger" Hotdogs, a selection of snacks and hot and cold beverages.

The guided tour takes approximately 1 hour.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour departing to enjoy the Museum Experience.

The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is a fully-operational working site where highly flammable areas are present. This means:
Smoking is prohibited. There are some safe smoking areas marked outside of the Distillery.
Due to the risk of ignition, we don’t allow anything with a battery on the tour with you. This includes your camera, phone, and your car keys. We have free lockers available for prior to joining the tour.
If you have a medically necessary device such as a hearing aid, insulin pump, or motorised mobility device we will be able to make special arrangements for you so that you can still enjoy the tour safely. Please inform your guide about any medically necessary devices.
