About this experience
This approximately 8-hour German-language small-group tour departs from Akureyri Port and takes you to the Goðafoss Waterfall and the volcanic Lake Mývatn.

What to expect
The tour starts at the cruise ship port in Akureyri and initially follows the fjord, offering views of the town of Akureyri, before passing through the Vikurskarð mountain pass to reach the beautiful Góðafoss waterfall.
From there, the tour will continue across two plateaus to Lake Mývatn, where we will make several stops. You will encounter pseudo-craters, bizarre lava formations, boiling mud pools, craters, and the warm-water-filled Gjrótagjá cave, made famous by the TV series Game of Thrones.
The approximate duration of the tour is 8 hours; departure times are coordinated with the cruise ships' port calls.
