What to expect
Embark on a gentle and beginner-friendly kayaking tour along the serene waters of a glacier lagoon in Sólheimajökull. Take in your dramatic surroundings as you paddle around majestic icebergs and landscapes.
Meet your kayaking guide in Sólheimajökull and get set up with a dry suit. Then, your guide will demonstrate basic techniques, show you how to maneuver in the kayak, and make sure you're comfortable.
When you're ready, climb aboard your sit-on-top kayak and feel how easy it is to steer. Then, push off into the lagoon and paddle along the iceberg-filled, calm waters. Take in the breathtaking views of the Sólheimajökull Glacier, which is only able to be seen while on water.
After a few hours of gliding along the peaceful lagoon and exploring its hidden gems, circle back to shore, having collected some unforgettable memories of Iceland's great outdoors.
