What to expect
Start your day with the iconic Golden Circle and see geological wonders such as steaming geysers, and roaring waterfalls. Then, in the evening, we search for the wonderous Northern Lights.
The Golden Circle is one of Iceland’s most popular day tours, drawing visitors with its extraordinary geological wonders. Thingvellir National Park is rich in history as the original site of Iceland’s parliament but also geographically significant as the the location where continental drift between the North American and Eurasian tectonic can be seen at the dramatic Álmannagjá canyon.
The journey continues to the Geysir Geothermal Area, where powerful hot springs erupt regularly into the air. The next highlight is Gullfoss Waterfall, the iconic “Golden Waterfall,” a dramatic two-tiered cascade and one of the largest and most breathtaking waterfalls in Iceland.
The final stop is to the breathtaking 6500 year old volcanic crater Kerið.
After the Golden Circle tour, we drop you back to Reykjavík, where you have a couple of hours free for dinner and relaxation. Later join our evening aurora hunting tour. Your expert guides search for clear skies and the shimmering green northern lights, while telling old Icelandic folk tales about the lights.
