What to expect
Zoom around the Icelandic waters aboard a rigid inflatable boat and enjoy close-up views of whales, dolphins, and more. The small yet powerful vessel is capable of reaching high speeds, allowing you to cover a larger area and get closer to the Reykjavik wildlife than you would in a classic boat. The boats have brand new & high quality suspension seats. These "shock seats" are designed to increase not only the safety but also the comfort of passengers while zooming along the North Atlantic waters on this ultimate wildlife adventure.
After seeing the sights on the open water, enjoy quick stops to admire the "Sun Voyager" sculpture and Harpa Concert Hall on the shoreline. Numbers are limited to 12 on this small-group tour. Choose from one of several start times; then make your own way to Reykjavik Old Harbor to meet your captain. After a quick safety briefing, pull on your provided coveralls and hop aboard your boat.
Hold on tight while your captain zips you out of the harbor and look out for some of the wildlife for which Iceland is famous. Head out on the open water to scout out whales and dolphins and, hopefully, get some close-up views.
From early May close to the end of August you will be lucky enough to see Puffins on this tour. In the beginning of the tour you will make short stop by the breeding grounds of the puffins.
While returning to the harbor, cruise along Reykjavik’s shoreline and spot the sights from the sea. Colourful fishing huts and bustling restaurants make up the cityscape in this part of town, alongside some thought-provoking attractions.
After roughly 2 hours on the water, travel back to the start point where your tour ends. If you were unlucky enough to not spot any whales, worry not, your captain will give you a complimentary ticket for another ride before you leave.
