What to expect
The Golden Circle the most popular sightseeing route in Iceland. The trio that makes it is the historical Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley where is located Geysir, and the famous Gullfoss (Golden waterfall), a powerful waterfall with the landscape from the postcards. Descending in two parts, the waterfall has a combined drop over 32 meters and spans nearly 20 meters in width, making it one of the most beautiful cascades in Europe. Originating from Iceland's second-largest glacier, Langjökull, the waters of the Hvítá River rush towards Gullfoss. Plus you will see as an extra 2 additional stops: Brúarfoss and Kerið volcano.
