Each tour is carefully planned using the latest weather forecasts, cloud cover, and aurora activity reports. Your experienced local guides choose the route on the night, heading wherever conditions are most favorable for spotting the Aurora Borealis.
When the lights appear, step outside to admire the sky as it comes alive with shimmering greens and other vibrant colors dancing overhead. The tour includes planned stops away from artificial light, giving you the best possible chance to view and photograph the Northern Lights.
Along the way, learn how this fascinating natural phenomenon is created and why Iceland’s winter skies offer excellent conditions for aurora viewing. Guides are happy to share insights and answer questions throughout the evening, with an optional audio guide available for additional information.
As the Northern Lights are a natural and weather-dependent phenomenon, sightings can never be guaranteed. If the lights do not appear on your tour, you are welcome to join another Northern Lights tour free of charge, subject to availability.

• If no Northern Lights are seen, you may join another Northern Lights tour free of charge
• Free retry tickets are valid for up to 2 years, subject to availability
• Tours may be canceled if weather or cloud conditions are unfavorable; a decision is made daily. If the tour is cancelled, a full refund will be offered.
• Guests will be informed on the day of the tour if it is canceled
• Please dress warmly with multiple layers suitable for cold winter conditions
• You may spend time outdoors on uneven ground while viewing the lights
• The optional audio guide is provided via an app and used on your own smartphone
• Children and youths receive a family discount, valid for up to 2 per full-paying adult
