What to expect
Hunt the Northern Lights with an Icelandic guide who knows the sky and a setup designed for photography as well as viewing.
Pickup from your Reykjavík hotel around 21:00 (exact time varies by sunset). Your guide checks the aurora forecast, the cloud cover, and the geomagnetic conditions, then chooses the dark-sky location with the highest probability for the night. We drive away from Reykjavík's light pollution to give you the cleanest possible view.
During the stop your guide assists with camera settings — manual mode, shutter speed, ISO, white balance — so you actually get photos worth keeping. Hot drinks are provided. You're back at your Reykjavík hotel around 01:00.
If we don't see the aurora, you can rebook on any future date within the season at no extra charge — no questions asked.
Comfortable minibus seating up to 19 passengers. Free Wi-Fi on board. Hotel pickup and drop-off included.
What to bring: warm layers (multiple), waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, scarf. Camera with manual mode and a tripod are essential for aurora photography — bring your own or coordinate in advance. Spare camera batteries are a good idea (cold drains them fast).
Available late August through mid-April only. Activity is weather-dependent; if conditions are unsafe, the tour is cancelled with a full refund.
