What to expect
Explore the volcano Eldfell and the coast of Heimaey Island on this ATV tour. Your guide will show you all around the island and show you all it has to offer. Visit Prestvik beach and hear the story of how the islands were founded.
Drive around the lava and around the volcano Eldfell and along the coast, where the view is breathtaking. During the trip, go to Prestvik beach where the fishing ship Pelagus stranded. Drive around and view the scene where Guðlaugur Friðþórsson came to land after 5-6 km of swimming in the dark and cold sea after Hellisey VE 503 sank.
Each ATV can seat two, and are not difficult to drive. But each driver must hold a driver’s license.
