Day 1: The famous Golden Circle with Thingvellir, Geysir, and Gullfoss.
Your adventure begins with a pickup in Reykjavik then travel along the famous Golden Circle route. The first stop will be at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Thingvellir National Park. Rich with history and geology, Thingvellir is a must visit destination in Iceland. This is where two tectonic plates are moving apart and home to the world's oldest continuously operating parliament, Althingi. From Thingvellir, make your way to the spouting geysers at Geysir Hot Spring area. Here, see Strokkur Geysir spout water up to 25 meters in the air. The final attraction of the Golden Circle is the powerful waterfall of Gullfoss (Golden Falls). See the fall roaring through the rugged canyon and dropping a whopping 32 meters. Then we head south towards your accommodation for the night, but it's not just driving, you will visit two major South Coast highlights - Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss Waterfalls.
Day 2: Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and Skaftafell Area
After a good breakfast at your hotel it is time to explore Vatnajokull National partk and surrounding area. You will visit Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Beach. The view is always fantastic and there's a chance to see floating icebergs in the deep lagoon, the ocean can also deliver some diamons to the beach - the clear, glacial ice gives the beach it's name. Later you will move towards Skaftafell, a beautiful area with glacier views. In summer, you will hike to Svartifoss waterfall. In winter, you will meet a glacier guide who will take you on Falljökull oulet glacier. During the winter it's your main activity on this tour - a unique opportunity to combine a glacier hike with visit to a unique natural ice cave. Once the sights are seen and activities are done, ls tart heading back to our hotel for dinner and some rest before the final day of the tour.
In winter, if the conditions are right, the Northern Lights may show up before we go to sleep.
Day 3: The Famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon
After breakfast, you will get back on the road. We will leave the Ring Road for a small detour - the quiet road will take you to the majestic Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. Once you have this sight memorized, we will get back on the road. After a stop in Vik, you will visit the famous Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. During the summer, you will get a chance to visit the Katla Ice Cave - the only natural ice cave available during summer months in Iceland.
Depending on the season and conditions, the stops may be ordered slightly differently between days to accommodate for activity timings and weather conditions.
