Next, dive into your second adventure: snorkeling in Silfra, an ethereal fissure nestled in Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Famous for its crystal-clear water and stunning blue hues, Silfra offers an unparalleled opportunity to float between the tectonic plates of North America and Eurasia. Accompanied by a PADI certified snorkeling guide, you’ll glide effortlessly along the gentle current, experiencing a sense of weightlessness in some of the clearest water on Earth.
All necessary gear is provided, ensuring a safe and unforgettable journey through Iceland’s unique landscapes above and below ground.
Our guide takes underwater photos (free!) and we enjoy hot cocoa after snorkeling to warm up from the glacial waters.
*Participants need to be comfortable in the water and be able to swim. You cannot participate if you are pregnant due to the small risk of cold water entering the suit.

Terms & conditions
In order to participate, guests must:
Be able to swim and be comfortable in the water,
Be able to understand and communicate in English,
Have a moderate level of fitness,
Be within safety gear size parameters:
- Height: 150 cm-200 cm (4’11’’ - 6’7’’)
- Weight: 45-120 kg (99-265 lbs)
For your safety, we cannot accommodate guests with the following conditions: Heart or blood vessel disease, stroke; Heart attack; Lung disease (excluding asthma with doctor clearance); Recent surgeries (within the last 6 months); Pregnancy; Pneumothorax (collapsed lung), other chest disease, chest surgery; Epilepsy, seizures, convulsions, or taking any related medication
Signed physician approval is required for asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart conditions, and other conditions that may impact your ability to safely participate.
Glasses cannot be worn under the snorkel. Please bring contact lenses if needed.
