What to expect
Embark on an unforgettable adventure from Reykjavík as you explore the breathtaking Sólheimajökull glacier, visit two of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, and see Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach. This small-group experience takes you deep into Iceland’s glacial and volcanic landscapes, offering a perfect mix of adventure, natural beauty, and fascinating geology.
Your journey starts with a pick-up from Reykjavík, where you’ll meet your expert guide and travel along Iceland’s stunning South Coast. As you drive past lava fields, black sand beaches, and towering cliffs, your guide will share insights about Iceland’s unique geology and history.
Upon arriving at Sólheimajökull glacier, you’ll receive all necessary glacier gear, including crampons and helmets. Your guide will provide a short safety briefing before leading you onto the glacier for an easy yet thrilling hike across the rugged ice. You’ll spend about 1-1.5 hours on the glacier, exploring its otherworldly landscapes and witnessing firsthand how Iceland’s natural forces shape its terrain.
The iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall is known for its unique pathway that allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water. This 65-meter (213 ft) high waterfall originates from Eyjafjallajökull glacier, adding to its dramatic beauty.
Skógafoss is a powerful 60-meter (197 ft) waterfall that often creates stunning rainbows in the mist. Climb the stairs to the top for breathtaking panoramic views or stand below to feel the immense power of the falling water.

• The minimum age permitted to take part in this tour is 8 years old
• Sturdy hiking boots with ankle support are required for the glacier hike portion, and can be rented for a small fee if required
• Please note that our specialized glacier crampons are only available for shoe sizes 35-50 EU. Those with a shoe size beyond these are unfortunately unable to participate.
