This option is only suitable for travelers with a rental car. Taxis and shuttles are not suitable, as you will need to follow your guide to the volcano parking area. Parking fees may apply. *Pickup option: Includes return transfer from Reykjavík, a short introduction to Grindavík, and the guided volcano hike. During summer or good weather, extra stops may include Seltún geothermal area and Kleifarvatn Lake when conditions allow. Self-driving is only for travelers with a rental car. Arriving by taxi or shuttle is not possible. You’ll follow the guide's directions in your car to the volcano parking lot (fees apply). After the hike, you continue on your own.
