What to expect
7-Day Greece Tour: Santorini, Athens, Peloponnese & Meteora
Embark on a scenic 7-day journey through Greece’s most iconic destinations, combining history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.
Day 1 – Athens to Santorini: Start with a ferry ride from Piraeus Port to Santorini, enjoying approximately 7 hours at sea. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Later, visit the charming town of Oia, wander its narrow streets, soak in the unique architecture, and witness the world-famous Santorini sunset.
Day 2 – Santorini Exploration: Explore Mount Pyrgos for panoramic views of the crescent-shaped island and colorful villages. Visit the historic Pyrgos Village, one of Santorini’s oldest settlements, featuring traditional Greek architecture and the iconic blue-domed churches. In the afternoon, enjoy Kamari Black Beach and the Red Beach, famous for its volcanic sand and striking rock formations. Free time in the evening allows for leisurely walks, photography, or optional activities.
Day 3 – Santorini to Athens: After breakfast, visit Fira, the island’s capital perched on cliffs above the Aegean Sea. Discover local churches, museums, shops, and cliffside pubs. Optional experiences include a donkey ride along the cliffs or a cable car ride to fully appreciate Santorini’s dramatic landscape. Depart by ferry back to Athens in the afternoon.
Day 4 – Athens City Tour: Explore Athens’ ancient treasures with visits to the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, featuring the Parthenon, Temple of Athena Nike, Theatre of Dionysus, and Erechtheion. After lunch, tour Constitution Square, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Panathenaic Stadium, and enjoy free time in Plaka Old Town, a lively district rich in Greek culture, shops, and cafés.
Day 5 – Peloponnese Peninsula: Journey to the Peloponnese, a region full of natural beauty, history, and culture. Highlights include the Corinth Canal, Ancient Epidaurus, and the picturesque town of Nafplion. Time permitting, visit Palamidi Fortress before returning to Athens.
Day 6 – Delphi & Meteora: Depart Athens and travel through Levadia and Arachova, famous filming locations, to Delphi, the ancient sanctuary of Apollo and home to the famous Oracle. Explore the ruins and museum. Continue to Meteora, with its dramatic rock formations and perched monasteries. Overnight in Delphi or Kalambaka.
Day 7 – Meteora & Return to Athens: Discover Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring Byzantine-era monasteries atop towering rock pillars formed millions of years ago. Recommended to visit two monasteries for full experience. Return to Athens by evening and conclude the tour.
