We'll meet at the main exit of the Acropolis metro station to kick off this fascinating guided tour. We'll climb along the south side of the hill, avoiding the crowds and enjoying spectacular views of Athens. Along the way, you'll discover the ancient Theater of Dionysus, where the works of the great tragic poets of antiquity were first performed.
Through the majestic Propylaea, you'll enter the heart of the Acropolis, where you'll learn about the history of the Temple of Athena Nike and admire the main monuments of the complex: the Parthenon, a symbol of architectural perfection; the Erechtheum, with its famous Caryatids; and other sacred places where myth and reality intertwine.
During the two-hour visit, you'll hear fascinating legends from Greek mythology, delve into the historical context of each monument, and enjoy one of the most spectacular viewpoints in all of Athens. It's a perfect experience for first-time visitors and ancient history buffs alike.
Plus, the tour includes the entrance ticket to the Acropolis, letting you fully enjoy the experience without worrying about buying tickets or standing in line at the ticket office. To properly manage access, we'll need your full names, passport numbers, and ages, which we'll request and manage individually. We kindly ask you to provide us with this information in advance to ensure an efficient and smooth organization.
In the very rare event that the Acropolis suddenly closes due to weather or other reasons, there will be no refund or exchange of tickets, because the Acropolis' policy is very strict and doesn't offer this kind of flexibility.
Important: Every first and third Sunday of the month, from November to March, as well as on a few additional days during the year, admission to the Acropolis is free.
These tickets can't be issued online, and you'll need to arrive several hours in advance—and sometimes stand in line—to get them.
