What to expect
Santorini Volcano & Caldera Cruises
Morning Volcano Cruise
Set sail from Athinios Port on a traditional wooden boat and discover the spectacular volcanic landscape of Santorini. Cruise through the heart of the Caldera while enjoying live commentary about the island's fascinating history and geology.
Your first stop is Nea Kameni, home to Santorini's active volcano. Enjoy free time to hike to the crater at your own pace and admire breathtaking panoramic views. Please note that the hike is unguided. The volcano entrance fee (€5 per person) is not included.
Continue to Palea Kameni, where you can swim in the famous sulfur-rich Hot Springs, renowned for their therapeutic properties. Please note that the mineral-rich waters may stain light-colored swimwear.
The cruise then continues to the bay of Thirassia, where you'll have time for another swim (weather permitting) in the crystal-clear Aegean waters.
Relax as you sail through the magnificent Caldera, taking in the dramatic volcanic cliffs and the whitewashed villages perched high above the sea. The cruise returns to Athinios Port at approximately 16:30p.m.
Optional Oia Sunset Extension
Upgrade your experience with the optional Oia Sunset Extension. Upon arrival at the port, a comfortable bus will transfer you to the picturesque village of Oia, where you'll enjoy 2–3 hours of free time to stroll through its charming streets, admire the breathtaking views, browse local shops, and witness Santorini's world-famous sunset. Please return to the designated meeting point 15 minutes after sunset for your transfer back.
Return Bus Information (From Athinios Port)
After the cruise, please board the correct return bus according to your accommodation area:
Bus No. 1: Imerovigli, Firostefani & Fira and all nearby areas.
Bus No. 2: Kamari, Monolithos & Messaria and all nearby areas.
Bus No. 3: Megalochori, Akrotiri, Emporio & Perissa and all nearby areas.
Bus No. 5: Oia and all nearby areas.
Guests who have booked the Oia Sunset Extension should also board Bus No. 5

Afternoon Sunset Cruise (Without Transfer)
Enjoy a 4-hour Sunset Cruise departing from Athinios Port at 4:30 p.m. Cruise around Santorini's volcanic islands while experiencing one of the island's most unforgettable sunsets.
Volcano: Approximately 30-minute stop for photos and an optional visit to the volcano. (Volcano entrance fee: €5 per person, not included.)
Hot Springs: 30-minute swimming stop in the sulfur-rich thermal waters.
Thirassia Island: Approximately 1 hour of free time for swimming and lunch at one of the traditional Greek tavernas. (Lunch is optional and not included.)
This option does not include transfers. Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Athinios Port.
Departure is at 4:30 p.m. Please arrive at the port at least 15 minutes before departure.
You can reach Athinios Port by the local public bus departing from Fira. (Bus ticket: €2.00 per person, not included.)

Terms & conditions
• Pickup: From a central pickup point near your hotel (if option selected).
• Departure time: 09:45 a.m. (please be at the port by 09:30 a.m.).
• Pick-up time: Hotel pick-up starts approximately 1 hours before departure, depending on location.
• Schedule changes / Bad weather: Times, itinerary, and stops may be adjusted or rescheduled due to weather conditions or port authority regulations for safety reasons.
• Hot Springs safety: Do not swim if you have heart disease, sulfur allergy, hypothermia, pregnancy, discomfort after a heavy meal, or limited swimming ability.
• Passports/ID: Not required; however, a valid ID or copy of passport is recommended.
• Guests: Please bring warm clothes for the evening (if option selected). The tour ends with a sunset viewing; a camera is recommended.
• Booking info: Please provide full names, birthdates of all participants, and hotel details. Final instructions will be sent via email (please check spam folder).
• Capacity: Maximum 150 guests on board.
