Your adventure begins as you depart Athens early in the morning, traveling comfortably by air-conditioned coach. As you leave the city behind, watch the urban sprawl give way to verdant countryside and rolling hills.
After a scenic drive, you'll arrive in Meteora, a place where ancient monasteries seem to defy gravity atop towering rock formations.
Your English-speaking driver will be waiting for you with a sign, and you will be transferred to your hotel.
Spend the afternoon exploring this picturesque small town of Kalambaka, join an afternoon guided tour of Meteora and admire one of the most mesmerizing sunsets you have ever seen.
Next morning, your guide will meet you in the lobby to visit the three main monasteries of the region, where you will discover the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area.
Learn the stories of the first hermits and monks here, who back in the medieval era laid the foundations of what would become a thriving monastic community. After the morning tour, you will be transferred back to Kalambaka.
