What to expect
Whether it's your first time to Athens and the Acropolis or one of many, this ingenious structure will never cease to take your breath away. But Athens is not just the Acropolis, it is a thriving modern metropolis with much to explore.
Start the day at the Syntagma metro station, where you will enjoy a brief visit to the metro Museum and its fascinating archaeological artifacts from daily life in ancient Athens that came to light during the construction of the metro. Continue on to the National Gardens and pass the neoclassical architectural design of Zappeion Hall. From this vantage point, you can see the remaining colossal columns of the Temple of Zeus, as well as Hadrian’s Arch.
The tour then continues to the Acropolis, entering from the southern slope to avoid the crowds, and the great Dionysus Theatre, the most significant theatre of its kind in Europe. Ascend the Sacred Hill of the Acropolis, stopping along the way at the great monuments, including the Parthenon, the Erectheion, the Propylaia, the Nike Temple, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus and the ancient Agora.
Enjoy some free time to explore the Acropolis and Plaka before you begin to make your way back to Athens.
Convenient pick-up and return transfers from the port of Piraeus are scheduled at set times, carefully planned to match most cruise itineraries. The guided walking tour lasts about 3.5 hours, and with transfers the total experience is around 7 hours. To make the most of your day, you’ll also enjoy free time in the charming Plaka neighborhood before heading back to your ship.

Please be aware that even with our skip-the-ticket-line service, there might be some waiting time required for security checks. This is because visitor numbers can fluctuate unpredictably at the sites throughout the day. The typical waiting time falls within 0 to 10 or 30 minutes, though on rare occasions, it might be longer.
Terms & conditions
• If you select the WITHOUT entry ticket option, you must purchase your Entrance Tickets separately, the information will be on your voucher.
• If you select the WITH entry ticket option, your Entrance Tickets are already included — no further action needed.
• If you're eligible for a reduced or free Entrance Ticket, please bring official documentation or/and a valid ID showing your age and nationality.
Failure to present an ID may result in denied entry or a need to pay the full ticket price (subject to availability). In such cases, the tour fee is non-refundable.
• Pick-up 8:45 am at Piraeus port, outside your terminal (look for orange sign). Tour starts 9:30 am at Syntagma metro. Return transfer leaves 15:50 from Dionysiou Areopagitou. Arrive 10 mins early.
• All visitors undergo airport-style security; expect peak season waits of up to 30+ minutes.
