What to expect
Discover or rediscover one of the most prestigious castles in Europe! I offer a fun tour to help you understand everything about the history of this unique heritage site.
As an independent live guide, I organize this small group tour, limited to a maximum of 10 participants. You will join other visitors to share a friendly moment and follow in the footsteps of François I and his crazy project: to build the "Jewel of the French Renaissance".
Please note: My service includes only the guiding service; the entrance ticket to the castle is not included and must be purchased by you.
Also, get ready, because this tour is interactive! You'll have to participate by answering my questions or even by trying to imagine you're courtiers of France on the famous double helix staircase.
I'll meet you in front of the castle entrance, just before the airport-style security check.
Please note that the visitor parking lots are not located right outside the gates! Allow 5 to 10 minutes to walk from your vehicle to reach the castle. Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the tour.
For easy identification: I am a young brunette girl wearing glasses. I will be waiting for you there with my live guide card around my neck and a French flag in my hand.
Our tour together will last 1 hour and 30 minutes and will end in style on the famous terraces of Chambord.
Things to note
- Passport or ID card for children
Terms & conditions
Admission tickets to the castle are not included. The price of your reservation covers only the guided visit and the listening equipment. How to book your ticket: Go to the official ticket desk (https://www.chambord.org) and simply select "Château" then "Entrée Château et Jardins" (single ticket).
Mobility: This tour involves walking, standing for 1.5 hours, and climbing the steps of the castle (there is no elevator). I strongly advise you to wear comfortable, suitable shoes.
Weather and Temperature: As the castle is constantly open to the outside, there are many drafts and it is often very cool. Remember to wear warm clothes, especially in the winter!
Families with children: Pushchairs are allowed on the ground floor, but you will then have to leave them downstairs when we go up to the upper floors.
