Explore Les Bassins des Lumières, the world’s largest digital art center, located in Bordeaux’s former World War II submarine base!
This historic venue hosts monumental immersive digital exhibitions dedicated to the great artists of art history and to contemporary creation.
Discover the new creation “Matisse, the Symphony of Colors,” which, for the first time, invites visitors to explore the artist and his works through a fully immersive experience, where lights, shapes and music come together to reveal the richness of his universe.
From the luminous Nice interiors to the papier-mâché works of his later period, this immersive experience traces the evolution of his art, revealing the freedom of his gestures and the power of his colors, accompanied by a soundtrack that combines classical music with more contemporary pieces.
A French voice-over accompanies certain sections of the experience.
Presented immediately after the immersive experience “Matisse, the Symphony of Colors,” the short program “Frida Kahlo, Straight from the Heart” invites visitors to delve into the intimacy and creative power of the Mexican artist, amidst an explosion of colors, symbols, and emotions.
