Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages: Medieval Tours of Château de Buranlure in Boulleret
BOULLERET – Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026 –
For one weekend, the Château de Buranlure opens its doors for a fully immersive experience of the medieval era. A true preserved gem, the fortified castle will be transformed into a living theater where history, local craftsmanship, and traditions of yesteryear will come together.
A living camp and a market with local producers
For two days, visitors will be able to wander freely through the heart of an authentic medieval camp.
On the program: combat demonstrations, introductions to archery, old-fashioned games for young and old, and the secrets of medieval cuisine revealed onsite.
At the same time, a local producers' market will showcase the riches of the terroir, offering a special meeting place with the region's artisans and livestock farmers.
Exclusive guided visits
For history and architecture enthusiasts, guided visits of the Château de Buranlure will be held throughout the weekend, allowing you to discover the timeless atmosphere of this intact fortress.
Terms & conditions
Accessibility and security: The Château de Buranlure is a medieval fortress preserved in its original historical state. The tour route includes narrow spiral staircases, uneven steps, and old floors. As a result, the interior of the castle is unfortunately not accessible to people with reduced mobility or strollers.
Authenticity of the site: The castle is preserved in its historical state and does not have modern electric lighting or heating in the rooms visited.
Animals: Pets are not allowed anywhere on the site (campground and castle). Only service dogs are permitted.
