What to expect
Discover and learn the British monarchy on a guided walking tour. View the State Rooms of Buckingham Palace and see how the Royals work and live.
Begin your tour with a stop outside Clarence House, a 19th-century estate that the most recent royals have called home.
Then, head further back in time to St. James’s Palace, which was used as a royal residence for more than 300 years, up until the reign of Queen Victoria.
Stroll down The Mall and see the instantly recognizable route running alongside St. James’s Park, which is used for processions during royal weddings, coronations and Jubilee celebrations.
Pop into St. James’s Park, the city’s oldest Royal Park. And pass by Wellington Barracks, home to the royal Foot Guards on duty in the area.
On the second part of your tour, venture inside the exquisite Royal State Rooms with an audio guide. Explore a collection of ornate 19th-century salons and galleries.
Next, enter the lavishly decorated White Drawing Room, where the King and Royal Family gather before official events.
See the regal Throne Room, which holds the Chairs of Estate, recently used for the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. Then, see even more magnificent spaces that are still used by the Royal Family to entertain guests.
End the tour with new knowledge and insights into the British monarchy, past and present.
