Meet your guide at Stornoway Port and set off to the northern tip of Lewis. As you travel, listen to your guide share insights into local lore and legend, while you take in the stunning scenery along the route with rugged coastal views.
Travel across the Isle of Lewis to the parish of Ness and the charming little harbor of Port Ness. Enjoy some free time around the harbor area and visit the Harbour View Gallery to admire some of the art pieces.
Continue with a short drive to the uniquely t-shaped church of St. Moluag. Explore the small church and discover its history and how it was once a center for pilgrimage by those seeking healing.
Afterwards, take another short drive to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse, which is set in a stunning location. Enjoy some time here as this is a perfect location for a photo opportunity, especially the exterior of the lighthouse and take in the lovely views out to sea.
The area is also notable for being the windiest place in the United Kingdom, so much so, that it achieved a mention in the Guinness Book of Records. Remember to dress accordingly. Your journey back to the ship will allow you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the lovely Lewis scenery once more, before arriving back into Stornoway.
