From the crown to the crew, come rain or shine, we’re an all-weather visit, with a refreshing breath of fresh sea air in between each of the five decks.
Bring your curiosity to uncover the ship’s stories shared in 36 languages through an audio guide, English BSL/ASL tablet and Braille script.
Everyone is welcome at Britannia, with lifts and ramps installed to allow easy, relaxed access between and around each of the decks. Our team of knowledgeable, welcoming guides are on hand throughout the ship, ready to take photos for the perfect holiday snap, or share the ship’s facts and stories. We really do love to make your day as special as we can.
The State Apartments feel as if the Royal Family have left only moments ago, leaving you to explore at your own pace. Below decks, hard work and the camaraderie of the crew powered this Royal Navy ship, a crew who still to this day speak so fondly of their time aboard, calling Britannia home.
A real highlight for many of our visitors, look into the Engine Room where you can almost hear the hum of the machinery, gleaming just as it did when the ship sailed across the world.
For an extra special moment, head up to the top of the ship to the Royal Deck Tearoom where slices of chocolate fudge cake, golden scones ready to be topped with jam and clotted cream call to you, tasting all the better as you look out over the water.
What’s even better, an Annual Pass is included with your ticket, so you can come back for free for 12 months. Come back with friends, family or just to try a different slice of cake, we can confirm they are all mouth-wateringly good!
Just a short tram ride from the city centre, there’s free car parking too.

Terms & conditions
• The tour can be done at your own pace, however, it will take approximately 1.5-2 hours, or longer if you wish to visit the Royal Deck Tea Room.
• Guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other recognised assistance dogs are welcomed. It is not possible to bring other dogs into Ocean Terminal or on board Britannia.
• Please note, Armed Forces and Carer tickets are only available at our ticket desk.
