What to expect
Meet at the base at Rushden Lakes, and following a friendly meet and greet, safety briefing, and paddle demo, set off on your 2-hour paddle. First, cross the lake, and then move your board across onto the river, exploring a beautiful stretch of the River Nene. Stay between the two nearest locks, and likely stay within the lovely, sheltered nature reserve, paddling at your own pace.
Note that lockers are provided, and wearing of the buoyancy aids supplied is compulsory. Wearing of wetsuits is optional, but they are not available for hire.
After your time on the river, return to The Boathouse at Rushden Lakes to check out and collect any personal items from lockers. Showers available too if you fancy a freshen-up.
