What to expect
Meet your guide in Mordiford and set off straight into the countryside. Pass a restored stone corn mill and head into the woods. Wander to Nupend Wood Nature Reserve, and then on to Common Hill Nature Reserve, both habitats for many wildflowers and butterflies (depending on the season).
Stop for a picnic lunch and have plenty of time to explore the local wildflowers and landscapes. Then, head to a memorial to a local bare-knuckle fighter from the 1800s before following the Wye Valley path back to Mordiford, stopping at an ancient orchard on the way.
