What to expect
Start your port wine tasting tour on the Porto side of the Douro River, and learn the historical context of port wine as you stroll towards the historical cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia. Take a guided tour of the museum and wine cellar of one of the most prestigious port wine houses. After learning about port, taste 2 port wines.
Learn how and when to drink port wine and to identify the differences between the different port wine families.
Chat about what makes port wine different from other wines, and learn when it should be consumed. and hear about the ins and outs of port wine barrels and the cork used to preserve the wines.
