Meet at Santa Apolónia train station and listen the fascinating history of its inauguration and about the beginning of railways in Portugal, which have been in operation for over 167 years. Millions of people passed through here, and important historical moments took place. Board one of our trains and enjoy a delightful journey to Entroncamento Station, crossing the newest section in Lisbon City, the Expo98 area. The name "Entroncamento" comes from the junction of two railway lines: the **Northern Line** (connecting Lisbon to Porto) and the **Eastern Line** (connecting Entroncamento to Badajoz in Spain). Most of its development was due to the railways.
Take a guided tour of the National Railway Museum, where you can explore a rich heritage that includes everything from the first steam locomotives to carriages, saloons, and wagons. This museum is a true national treasure, housing unique gems like the « Royal Train » and the « Presidential Train ». Experience lunch served in the restaurant carriages. In the afternoon we continue our visit through the 36.000 objects in display (large and small), and the 4,5 hectares of the Museum, harboring 19 different tracks. Finally, we board a train for the return journey to Santa Apolónia, enjoying our complementary Snack Box, to regain strength.
