What to expect
Embark on a medium-difficulty hike on the island of São Miguel, beginning with a scenic drive along the island’s coast until we reach the charming village of Faial da Terra. Here, the adventure starts as we follow a beautiful trail leading to the historic village of Sanguinho, once used as a safe refuge from pirate attacks. Along the way, you’ll experience lush forest paths and discover a stunning waterfall hidden in nature. After completing the hike, we head to the Furnas valley to observe its impressive volcanic activity, including bubbling fumaroles and hot springs, with the opportunity to relax and enjoy a soothing thermal bath.
