What to expect
Begin your journey in Câmara de Lobos, a picturesque fishing village known for its lively harbor and colorful boats used to catch the famous black scabbard fish. While there, make sure to taste the island’s iconic drink, Poncha, freshly mixed by local hands.
Your adventure continues to the dramatic Cabo Girão Skywalk, one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs. Step onto its suspended glass platform ( entrance fee of 5€ not included in the tour price) and soak in sweeping views over Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
Next, travel through Ribeira Brava, a charming coastal village, while heading into the mystical landscape of Fanal, part of the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva Forest. Here, the ancient, fog-shrouded trees create a magical atmosphere found nowhere else.
Moving along Madeira’s rugged north coast, you’ll stop at Ribeira da Janela for unforgettable views of its striking rock formations and dramatic coastline.
The tour’s biggest stop brings you to Porto Moniz, famous for its natural volcanic pools. Enjoy a relaxing lunch break and take time to explore or even swim in these unique formations.
Afterward, visit the harbor of Seixal, where you can admire its dramatic cliffs from above and also the black sand beach. ( between April 1st and September 30th, it will not be possible to go until the harbor, the stop will be in a viewpoint to take pictures of the beach).
To conclude this unforgettable excursion, you’ll be taken to a breathtaking viewpoint featuring a cascading waterfall — the perfect ending to a perfect Madeira adventure.
