What to expect
Your Great Adventure for Two in Melgaço!
The starting point is at the headquarters of Ruta Aventura Rafting, where we meet before heading to Castro Laboreiro.
Your first experience is an 8 km guided hike through the Peneda-Gerês National Park, along stunning trails and discovering the region's untouched nature.
Bring water, snacks, proper shoes, and clothing to enjoy every moment.
After the hike, treat yourself to a typical lunch, celebrating the authentic flavors of Minho.
The adventure continues to the thrilling Branda da Aveleira Slide – an adrenaline-filled experience with unforgettable panoramic views!
The activity lasts about two hours, and includes:
Preparing and putting on the equipment,
Safety briefing and instructions,
First slide descent,
And a short walk to the second launch (optional, for those who want to repeat the thrill!).
Then, feel the speed on a thrilling go-kart ride through the Gave Wind Farm Park, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
At the end of the day, check into your cozy accommodation, perfect for relaxing and recharging.
On the second day, after breakfast, we'll head back to the Ruta Aventura Rafting headquarters, the starting point for a bike ride along the banks of the Minho River.
Along the way, explore the stunning scenery, learn a bit about local history, and stop at the Equestrian Center and Melgaço Thermal Baths, where you can try the medicinal waters.
Note: To do each activity, you'll need to travel quite a bit, even though they're all in the same municipality.
You can also swap one of the adventures for a rafting descent on the Minho River!
