Just outside Ribeira Grande and surrounded by lush rainforest and geothermal wonders, this unique volcanic canyon is the perfect setting for an adrenaline-filled day. After gearing up and a full safety briefing from our expert guides, we’ll hike approximately 30 minutes to the canyon entrance, where your adventure begins.
Descend through this stunning canyon by scrambling, sliding, rappelling down waterfalls (up to 16 meters high!) all while immersed in the raw beauty of São Miguel’s wild nature.
