What to expect
Discover Madeira in a truly adventurous way, behind the wheel of your own buggy.
This experience combines scenic mountain roads with thrilling off-road sections, taking you deep into some of the island’s most authentic and untouched landscapes.
After a short scenic drive, the off-road adventure begins in Santo da Serra, where you’ll drive through dirt tracks and forest trails leading to hidden viewpoints only accessible by off-road vehicles.
The journey continues towards Portela and the Funduras area, where you’ll explore deeper into the Laurisilva Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along the way, enjoy breathtaking viewpoints over the north coast and on clear days, you may even spot the island of Porto Santo in the distance.
Choose between 550cc and 1000cc buggies, depending on whether you prefer a more relaxed ride or a more powerful off-road experience.

To drive the buggy, you must hold a valid EU category B driving license.
The tour takes place even in rainy conditions and will only be postponed in case of a weather warning that could compromise safety.
