What to expect
Begin your day with pickup in central Lisbon and head south to check out the best viewpoint of Lisbon over the iconic bridge. After that, head to Setúbal and visit the Livramento Market, considered the best fresh market in Portugal, where locals shop for the freshest seafood and produce.
Wander through the market and discover everything it has to offer, including a taste of fresh local oysters. Buy everything you need for your lunch seaside cooking experience, including the local Azeitão cheese.
Leave the Livramento market and make a pit stop at São Filipe Fort, and admire the amazing view over Setúbal, Tróia, and the Arrábida beaches and mountain range. Some say they are among the most beatiful in the world!
For your seaside cooking experience, stop at a nearby picnic park with an exclusive beach, where you will taste the local prize-winning Azeitão cheese, have some local wine, and learn how to make one of the most iconic seafood dishes in Portugal, the Caldeirada de Peixe (seafood stew).
Once you’ve had lunch, head to Azeitão for a taste of one of the best sweets in Portugal, the Azeitão roll cake and also for a visit of a 200 year old family-owned winery, where you will have a tour of the premises, with a complete explanation of the wine creation process and also a wine tasting of some regional wines. Afterward, return to central Lisbon, while admiring the views.
